It was a cold and snowy night.
So I
decided on a walk to warm my soul
As I walked along the plowed streets,
I saw the dark, quiet houses of everyone known
So cozy they appeared that I dare not intrude
Besides, the calm in the air felt so good
And I continued my walk
Kicking at the snow along the way
A stranger’s house seemed to glow in darkness
The house of light along the shore
A decision was made to stop and take pause
As I approached the air took on a chill
The common sensation was quickly shrugged
Knock, knock
An oddly familiar man opened the door
I said do I know you
-no
He said do I know you
-no
