Bask in the shadow of
yesterday’s sun,
Glazing the road as the travel’s
begun.
Crossroads to ponder as steps
carry on,
The way is concealed in the
journeyman’s song.
Away to the castle in stupendous
manor,
Time but a mirage seeming to
blur.
Missions afoot to carry the day,
Choices behold to stay or to
stray.
The sticks and stones but
obstacles here,
The light masking well
corruption and fear.
Awake and behold as eyes are
drawn shut,
You’re swimming in streams
carved by the flood.
Step back from the alter and you
shall perceive,
Lights trickery laden in all
that you see.
The glory is siphoned from
sources above,
And cast on the children with
the alias love.
