My eyes drawn near to the cloak
he’s adorned,
Awaiting the day that is yet to
be borne.
Into the void my cries are not
heard,
As the fog carries on the
horizon is blurred,
Peering into the nights that are
draped by this veil,
Gazing upon lands which I know
must be sailed.
Ahead I depart on this voyage
unknown,
To reap of the seeds of
misfortune I’ve sown,
Alas near dawn the shore demands
me to stay,
And habor the fiends who’ve come
out to play.
No time to partake in the gayla
about,
Please join us in feast they
scream and they shout,
But the jewels that gleam in the
eyes of their joy,
Are the gleam in the darkness I
seek to avoid.
Reflections I’ve seen in their
faces of gold,
Of the sun which is rising for
all to behold,
Light fast approaching to
dissipate fear,
Blazing the glory onto all who
stand near.
Blinding all the creatures of
night who have lost,
The vision of summer as they
welcome the frost,
For the valiant sailors true to
their cargo,
The spoils of paradise eternally
glow.
