The river of
life is sweeping me away
A swift
flowing current dragging me under
Oh, how
I yearn for dawn’s drowning
For the
haze to overtake my mind
But as
I swallow away and gulp up the water
Something inside me grasps for safety
The log
come near to rescue today
Bumping
at obstacles stacked in the way
If only
I could swim to direct my course
I leave
my destination to call on my fate
To
someday land along the shore
To
wonder no more
